  • Aug 19th - 23rd.: Youth Salmon Warriors Camp, Ages 18 - 29. To apply, submit a paragraph about yourself and your connection to salmon to Troy Hunter at troy.hunter@ktunaxa.org. Spaces limited.
  • Aug.19th 6:30pm.: Yaq̓it ʔa·knuqⱡiʾit (Tobacco Plains) Stick game tournament. $1000 prize guaranteed. Grassmere. Contact Kyle Shottanana 250-420-1008.
  • Aug 20th 1pm.: Yaq̓it ʔa·knuqⱡiʾit (Tobacco Plains) 2nd annual Traditional pow wow Grassmere.
  • Aug 21st 10:45am.: DerRic Starlight’s Indigenoues Puppet Show at Dan Joe Memorial Gymnasium ʔaqam. Free entry.
  • Aug 22-24th 9am-4pm.: The community is the medicine healing workshop facilitated by Darien Thira Ph.D at the akisnuk Band hall. Register with patsy.nicholas@akisqnuk.org.
  • Aug 26th 5pm.: ʔakisqnuk’s Got Talent and dinner at the Columbia Lake Rec.centre.
  • Aug 27-28th 9am.: ʔakisqnuk AGA..
  • Aug. 30th 10am.: ʔakisq̓nuk Elders committee meeting.
  • Aug 30th 10am -2pm.: Shingles Vaccine Clinic at AFN health center. Free for members who are 65+ with FNHA Benefits. Contact the KNC clinic at 250 420 2700 to make an appointment.
  • Aug.31st 10am -12pm.: Bill C 92 Ktunaxa Child and family legislation Information session at the akisqnuk band hall.
